Christmas Eve - Interlaken & Meiringen
Join us as we travel to the famous holiday resort of Interlaken on our included excursion, surrounded by outstanding scenery, and impressively situated between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. There will be time for you to explore the town before we continue to the heart of the Hasliberg hiking region and the town of Meiringen.
During the day you will have the opportunity to enjoy an optional Horse and Carriage ride through the Alpine scenery. Relax and sit back as our expert horsemen lead you through this beautiful area providing excellent photograph opportunities. Please note that Christmas Eve in Switzerland is a traditional religious festival and in many areas is still celebrated as such. This may mean that facilities in towns, villages and hotels may close early.

Christmas Day - Jungfrau Region Railway & Grindelwald
Merry Christmas! Enjoy an unforgettable mountain experience as we enjoy a ride aboard the Jungfraubahnen, Switzerland’s most popular mountain railway system. We board the railway in the village of Lauterbrunnen and travel up through the spectacular scenery to the Kleine Scheidegg Mountain pass, at the foot of the notorious Eiger North Wall. From Kleine Scheidegg we take the train and descend to the picturesque mountain village of Grindelwald where you will have time at leisure to explore, and weather permitting, enjoy the magnificent views of the famous Eiger Mountain.

Boxing Day - Lucerne
We spend the day in the lovely town of Lucerne, surrounded by breath-taking alpine scenery. Lucerne has long since charmed its visitors, on account of this beautiful setting and its many historic places of interest. Explore the delightful old town and take time to walk across the 14th century Chapel Bridge. See the Lion Monument created in memory of the heroic death of the Swiss Guard soldiers in the Tuileries Gardens in Paris and the Zytturm, which boasts the oldest public clock in Lucerne. Dating from 1535, the clock always strikes the hour one minute ahead of all the other clocks in the city.
During the day an optional cruise on the lake will be available. The cruise is a round trip lasting for approximately 1 hour. We return to our hotel this afternoon allowing time for to prepare for our evening meal.

We leave Switzerland behind and make our way north through the French countryside to our overnight hotel in northern France.
